In a significant boost to intercity travel in Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off a new Vande Bharat Express between Lucknow and Saharanpur on November 8. This train promises faster, more comfortable, and seamless travel for passengers, and here’s all you need to know about the new route.
New Vande Bharat Train To Run Between Lucknow & Saharanpur
According to NDTV, PM Modi recently flagged off four new Vande Bharat trains on Varanasi–Khajuraho, Lucknow–Saharanpur, Firozpur–Delhi and Ernakulam–Bengaluru routes. These trains will enhance connectivity and make train travel more convenient and comfortable for passengers.
One of these routes, the Lucknow-Saharanpur Vande Bharat, promises to cut travel time significantly and make it easier for both commuters and tourists to move across the state. The new intercity train across central and western Uttar Pradesh will ensure smoother and faster travel.
Coach Configuration, Travel Schedule & Timetable
The Lucknow-Saharanpur Vande Bharat train will run as train numbers 26504/26503. It will travel a distance of 518 km in almost 7 hours and 45 minutes. This is quite amazing as most trains on this route take well more than eight hours to cover this distance.
It has eight air-conditioned coaches, with seven chair cars and one executive chair car. The express train will have reclining seats and modern interiors, and will operate six days a week, except on Mondays. The train will depart from Lucknow at 5 AM and reach Saharanpur at 12:45 PM. On the return leg, the train will leave Saharanpur at 3 PM and arrive in Lucknow at 11 PM.
Train Route & Stoppages
The new train will halt at the following six stations between Lucknow and Saharanpur –
1. Sitapur
2. Shahjahanpur
3. Bareilly
4. Moradabad
5. Najibabad
6. Roorkee
The tickets for this new route are now available and can be booked through IRCTC’s official website or at railway reservation counters.
