How Do You Practice Villain Hitting?
If you wish to indulge in a villain-hitting practice, you will need to first buy a villain-hitting pack that costs around $50 (₹4,667). Then, find a villain hitting a stall and tell the details about the hitter you wish to get rid of from your life. The hitter will then create a paper effigy and beat it without any mercy while reciting chants that basically will curse away all the negative energy. The effigy is then burnt down as a symbol of the destruction of the problems.
When To Go For Villain Hitting?
According to Time Out, one can go for villain-hitting at any time of the year, but most people do it around the Jingzhe period. It falls on the third solar term of the Chinese lunar calendar. As per folklore, the white tiger is called upon on this day to suppress all demons that bring bad luck.
If you wish to experience this traditional ritual, you can visit some of the iconic streets and find professional villain hitters under the Canal Road flyover in Causeway Bay.
