A Punishable Act That Can Cost You A Penalty
You should know that attempting to board or alight from a moving train is not just risky but also a punishable offence. According to Section 156 of the Indian Railways Act, one could face a heavy penalty, imprisonment, or even both for such attempts. It is a reckless act and violates railway safety rules. No matter how late you are or afraid of missing a train, boarding a moving train is never an option. It could lead to serious injuries.
Many users reacted on X. One wrote, “How many years will we keep seeing this, some RPF saving people from falling. Why can’t Indian Railways have a closed door?” While some criticised the passenger, one user appreciated the RPF Sub-Inspector and wrote, “Good action by the RPF.”
