Akasa Air Launches Direct Flights From Mumbai To Phuket

One of India’s newest airlines, Akasa Air, is expanding its global footprint with the launch of its sixth international destination! On Saturday, Akasa Air’s inaugural flight to Thailand’s Phuket took off from Mumbai, marking a new daily route for the airline. According to The Free Press Journal, Akasa Air’s co-founder, Belson Coutinho, and Mumbai International Airport Ltd officials flagged off the maiden flight from Mumbai’s CSMIA with a ceremonial event.

To mark the occasion, the first passenger on this route was even presented with a special boarding pass. Taking to X, the airline posted, “Sawasdee Phuket! Delighted to foray into Southeast Asia with daily, direct flights to Phuket – our 6th international destination on the Akasa network. Our inaugural flight from Mumbai to Phuket took off with smiles, celebrations, and sky-high excitement.”

After Mumbai, Akasa Air also plans to strengthen its operations to Thailand by commencing daily direct flights between Bengaluru and Phuket from October 1.

Flight Schedule & Timings

On the Mumbai-Phuket route, Akasa Air’s QP-0618 flight will depart CSMIA at 7.45 PM daily. It will reach Phuket International Airport at 2.35 PM, with no stops. On the return leg, the flight will depart Phuket at 3.35 PM and arrive in Mumbai at 7.15 PM, daily. The flight will operate as QP 0619 on the return journey.
