Anand Mahindra Recommends Mangi-Tungi Trek In Maharashtra
Taking to his X handle, Anand Mahindra shared a video originally posted by X user, @colorfullife07. In the caption, the businessman reveals that while he has travelled to Nashik numerous times in the past (to visit an auto plant), the presence of a trekking trail nearby was unbeknownst to him.
We have a major auto plant in Nashik, where I’ve been going throughout my career and yet I never knew about, let alone attempted, the Mangi-Tungi trek.
It looks spectacular.

Recently, he discovered Maharashtra’s Mangi-Tungi trek. “It looks spectacular,” wrote Mahindra. He called the secret trail a “rewarding physical journey and a soulful experience.” Moreover, the businessman informed X user that the trekking trail was dotted with towering Jain statues, including an awe-inspiring 108-feet-tall “Statue of Ahimsa.” A reminder to him that some of the most rewarding travel experiences could be sitting right at our doorstep.
He ended the post with a warning that the Mangi-Tungi trek, while alluring, was a dangerous one as well. So, one needs to tread with caution. Tucked 4300 feet above sea level, Mangi-Tungi is a twin pinnacle hill. The peaks, kissing the soft white clouds above, hold deep spiritual significance.

A Secret Trail Of At Most Spiritual & Historical Significance
The Jain pilgrimage site is a moderately difficult trekking trail. However, witnessing the world’s tallest Jain statue of the 108-feet-tall Rishabdev is a sight to behold. The path is dotted with 4000 steps, ancient caves and shrines, with mist concealing its beauty. Going beyond regular trekking trails, Mangi-Tungi is a revered pilgrimage site for the Jain community, so a visit to the twin-pinnacle hills requires trekkers to be mindful of the cultural and religious significance of the holy spot.
Netizens were quick to point out in the comments section that Mangi-Tungi has a historical and spiritual soul that is unlike many other trekking spots. Here, faith means bowing down to nature’s magnificence and paying respects to the Jain monks who have walked down the path of moksha.
With Anand Mahindra humbly recommending the Mangi-Tungi trek, are you planning a spiritual getaway here anytime soon?
