Amazon India Launches Ashray
As per reports by Telangana Today, the company stated that it will make 50 new centres operational by the end of May 2026, adding to its current network of 100 centres across cities like Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai. Amazon India has launched mobile “Ashray” vehicles, which are air-conditioned vans that are set up along high-traffic delivery routes so drivers can rest and receive hydration support without needing to travel to the fixed location. These mobile vans offer fine amenities such as drinking water, electrolytes, Wi-Fi connectivity, charging points, and resting areas.
All About Amazon’s Ashray Centres
Amazon also has Ashray centres for the delivery centres. As per the company, the existing Ashray centres have collectively recorded more than one million visits from delivery drivers in 2025. The Ashray vans provide air-conditioned vehicles that have seating areas, mobile charging points, clean washrooms, first-aid kits, drinking water, electrolytes, and resting spaces, especially targeted at helping delivery partners to cope with extreme heat across India.

Director of Operations at Amazon India, Salim R. Memon, stated the initiative represents the company’s focus on the health, safety, and well-being of delivery partners. He also added that the growth is part of Amazon’s broader investment of over ₹2,800 crore towards enhancing safety, health, and financial well-being measures across its operations network.
Amazon also announced that it is collaborating with organisations such as Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), Udyasa Foundation, and READ India to launch the new facilities.
