On Monday night, a vehicle from Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s security convoy collided with an autorickshaw in Mumbai’s Juhu area. Two people were reportedly injured in the accident, including the autorickshaw driver. He was taken to the hospital for treatment. Akshay Kumar and his wife, Twinkle Khanna, were on their way home when the accident happened. Here are all the latest updates.
Vehicle From Akshay Kumar’s Security Convoy Gets Into Accident
According to a report by Hindustan Times, the incident occurred near Mukteshwar Road in Juhu, Mumbai. The star couple were returning from the airport after an overseas trip. They were heading to their Juhu home when a vehicle from Akshay Kumar’s security entourage was hit by an autorickshaw. The actor and Twinkle Khanna were in a different car and are reportedly safe.
As per a report by India Today, a Mercedes on the road suddenly accelerated and hit an auto. The autorickshaw then crashed into Akshay Kumar’s convoy vehicle, which was an Innova. Akshay Kumar stepped out of his SUV to assist the autorickshaw driver and the passenger. Both were briefly trapped under the entourage vehicle.

Actor Helps Rescue Injured Auto Driver And Passenger
According to a report by Hindustan Times, the actor and his staff lifted the autorickshaw and rescued the driver and the passenger. The rickshaw was completely damaged. The driver was reported to be in a serious condition and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital. The autorickshaw driver’s brother has demanded proper treatment and compensation for the damaged vehicle.
Juhu police have registered a case of rash driving and negligence against the Mercedes driver. An eyewitness also shared with HT that the incident was quite frightening to witness, but thankfully, everyone was safe. Further investigation is underway. Akshay Kumar’s team is yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
