American Woman Posts Video Of Emotional Last Day in India
India is vibrant, colourful, and very different from many foreign lands. That’s what struck Danelle Tiberi (global_momma), who documented her final day in the country through a video now going viral. It begins with her saying, “I am an American mum living in India, and today is my last day; we are leaving tomorrow.”
She then showed her last Swiggy order arriving, adding, “Oh, I am going to miss my Swiggy.” For her, like for most of us, the ease of e-commerce deliveries had become a part of her daily life. Her day continued with her packing lunch for her daughter’s last day of school, filming a neighbourhood street dog relaxing on the stairs, and mentioning how she will miss her trainer, who came home for workouts. She also shared moments of preparing breakfast and heading to a mall, where she admired India’s colourful fashion, where she showed kurtis and salwar suits from a store.
Later, she picked up her children from school, treated them to ice cream, enjoyed a last glass of wine with her friends, and ended the video on a bittersweet note. She captioned it simply: “Last day full-time living in India!! I am going to miss this place so so much!!”
Netizens React With Love
Danelle revealed that even her children were in tears as they hugged their best friends for the last time, showing how attached they had also become to India. Her followers filled the comments with love and warmth. One of her friends wrote, “Safe travels. It was amazing meeting and getting to know you. Please let us know whenever you’re back xx.”
While another asked about her next destination and said, “Where are you heading next? Nice video,” to which @global_momma replied that she would be in Seattle for now. Some of her Indian friends also wrote heartfelt messages, saying they would miss her deeply.
The video has since touched many hearts online, beautifully capturing not just her last day in India but also the special bond she and her family share with the country.
