Finland Is Offering A Free Week-Long Trip This June
According to India Today, Finland is offering six pairs a week-long free trip this June to Lakeland. Calling it a ‘seven-day challenge’, the idea is to offer travel lovers an experience centred on wellbeing, connection, and slowing down. “Forget Como. Forget Garda. Finnish Lakeland is calling,” the Visit Finland website reads. As part of the Chill Like a Finn initiative, Finland is “looking for curious and adventurous pairs to join the challenge in Lakeland this June.”
Heli Jimenez, Senior Director of International Marketing at Business Finland, said the free trip is all about “rediscovering balance that many Finns consider a core part of their lives.” The world’s happiest country wants travellers to “unplug, slow down, and let nature do its work” in Finnish Lakeland, offering an experience that is both meaningful and restorative at a gentler pace.
The Finnish Lakeland is Europe’s largest lake district. It looks like something straight out of a postcard, and the region’s food is deeply rooted in tradition–making it ideal for foodies and travel lovers! Experiences here range from lakeside saunas and forest walks to immersive local culinary offerings. The idea is simple: slow down and reconnect with nature in one of the world’s most serene lake regions.
