Badshah Shows His Tiranga-Inspired Meal; Says, “My Plate Learned Patriotism Before My Heart”

Badshah

India celebrated its 77th Republic Day on January 26, and the celebrations were grand in every sense. Now, singer and rapper Badshah has also shared how he marked the day. And trust us when we say this. His celebration is every foodie’s dream. Yes, it features a lot of Punjabi food.

Badshah Celebrates Republic Day With Tiranga-Inspired Food

This year, one of our favourite Punjabi singers, Badshah, celebrated Republic Day by enjoying a meal inspired by the Tiranga. He took to his Instagram handle to share his colourful Punjabi spread, inspired by the Tricolour. In the video, he playfully says, ‘Shuruwaat karenge hum paronthe se’ (we will start the feast with paranthas). The paranthas are topped with green chutney made of pudina and green chillies, along with a generous dollop of butter.

He then shows his plate, which also includes aloo gajar matar ki sabzi. Badshah continues to show his fans everything on the table. He also shows ‘alsi ke laddoo’ (flaxseed laddoos), which are apparently very healthy. The singer then shows a bowl full of creamy white butter that looks fresh and homemade. Badshah clearly states that it is not ‘tikki waala makkhan’ (store-bought butter).

Badshah added a caption to his post that read, “My plate learned patriotism before my heart did. Saffron warmth, white calm, green life. The tricolour didn’t only wave today, it fed me. Aap sabko Gantantra Diwas ki hardik shubhkamnaen.” Honestly, the caption feels very relatable. His plate beautifully reflects all three colours of the Tiranga: saffron, white, and green.

‘Shaadi Ki Bhaji’ Was The Highlight Of Badshah’s Meal

Badshah also showed the most special part of his Republic Day meal. It was ‘shaadi ki bhaji’ from one of his friends. For those of you who don’t know, ‘Bhaji’ is a traditional assortment of snacks distributed during Punjabi weddings. It usually includes laddoos, mathri, namak pare, gud pare, shakar pare, and more.

His feast definitely left many of us drooling. Fans quickly flooded the comment section with reactions. One user wrote, “Looks so yummy,” while another commented, “Aloo gajjar matar is my Favourite sabji with a little malayi on it “. A third user wrote, “Ohh wow shadi wali mithai.”
