Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport is often praised for its modern amenities and stunning design. Now, the chairperson of the RPG Group, Harsh Goenka, has come forward, showering praise on the airport and comparing it to Singapore’s Changi Airport. Here’s what he said.
Harsh Goenka Calls Bengaluru Airport A “Masterpiece”
RPG’s chairperson, Harsh Goenka, recently took to his official X account to praise the masterpiece that is Bengaluru Airport. He uploaded several pictures of the airport, calling it ‘lush, serene and world-class’, and honestly, it’s true. Bengaluru’s Kempegowda Airport is known for its aesthetics, especially Terminal 2, which is praised for its design, cleanliness, and passenger experience. It’s among India’s top airport terminals.
Harsh Goenka also appreciated the airport’s restrooms, calling them futuristic. He praised the attendants as well, mentioning how they were present at every baggage belt, ensuring each bag landed safely. He ended his post by saying, “Only Singapore’s Changi can compete with this airport.”
Award-winning Indian Airport
Comparing Bengaluru Airport with Singapore’s Changi isn’t a simple compliment. Changi is considered one of the best airports in the world, not just for its efficient operations but also for its modern, nature-inspired design. Changi Airport’s passengers can also find many attractions inside, like a garden, an indoor movie theatre, and many other things. It’s definitely a global hub that connects millions of travellers across destinations. Bengaluru, too, might be on its way to becoming a global hub just like Changi Airport.
Many netizens on X agreed with Harsh Goenka and shared their opinions. One user wrote, “Agree. It’s a wonderful experience, and the aesthetics are amazing. Hopefully they can maintain it for long – that in my view is the true test!” Another X user added, “Whoever is running this airport must be given the road contracts too.”

Furthermore, the airport also features a sensory room designed to help anxious flyers relax before their journey.
