What All Do We Know So Far?
The DIPRR (Department of Information and Public Relations) has invited bids for the appointment of a consultant to prepare a techno-economic feasibility report and help in structuring the project under the PPP model. Once confirmed, the firm will be held responsible for identifying and analysing potential revenue streams and land use.
A market assessment will also be done to determine the development and phasing of the project. Other facilities like retail spaces, food courts and a convention centre are also proposed as part of the project to generate revenue.
Moneycontrol reported that the consultant will develop a financial model to assess the project’s commercial cost and revenues. The study will also check the possible PPP structures and implement a roadmap from project planning to operating.
In the 2025-2026 Karnataka State Budget, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced the development of a multiplex movie theatre complex and how it would be done under the PPP model.
