South India’s most loved stars Vijay Sethupathi, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Kichcha Sudeepa and Mohanlal have now come together for the new seasons of Bigg Boss Tamil, Bigg Boss Telugu, Bigg Boss Kannada and Bigg Boss Malayalam. All of them are launching on September 6 and obviously, the fans can’t keep calm.
The promo celebrates four of the franchise’s beloved stars in a fun way, featuring some of the iconic South Indian dishes! Released by JioHotstar on Instagram recently, the crossover promo features a humorous “food mix-up” storyline involving iconic South Indian breakfast and regional dishes.
The caption under the post read, “Four superstars. Four houses. One epic moment.
Vijay Sethupathi, Nagarjuna, Kichcha Sudeepa and Mohanlal come together as the countdown begins for Bigg Boss Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. All four editions premiere on 6 September. The wait just got bigger!”

A Playful Food Mix-Up
The fun teaser shows that the four hosts accidentally get served breakfast and regional dishes native to each other’s states. This highlights the unique identities of the four South Indian markets, which have united the massive fan bases in one single promo!
The Dosa in the promo represents the Tamil culinary tradition; Pesarattu or Upma represents the Telugu flavour; Puttu represents the Malayalam culture; the promo also features Vada-Sambar representing the Kannada edition. The core idea of the promo is that none of the Bigg Boss hosts get the breakfast they ordered. Instead, they are accidentally served the signature breakfast dish of a neighbouring state.
Moreover, the playful food mix-up is a creative way of announcing that all four regional editions of Bigg Boss are launching on the same date, September 6, 2026. And honestly, we totally loved this promo!
