Blinkit Launches NCMC Bharat Yatra Card
Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa made the announcement on his official X account. He shared a glimpse of the card with a post that read, “Bharat Yatra Card, now available at your doorstep.” This move marks Blinkit’s expansion into public transport enablement. As per the post, the card will be available to all Blinkit users for ₹50. It is a zero-KYC, RuPay-powered card issued in partnership with Pine Labs.
According to a report by Moneycontrol, the NCMC Bharat Yatra Card aims to reduce commuters’ reliance on city-specific transit cards. It allows access to public transport systems across India using a single card. Blinkit has already started deliveries of the card in Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, and Ahmedabad.

How This Card Works
According to Moneycontrol, the Bharat Yatra Card has so many benefits! This card is based on India’s National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) framework. The card supports zero-KYC issuance. This means users can start using it without going through traditional verification steps at the time of purchase. Once issued, users can top up the card instantly using UPI. The process takes less than a minute and removes the need to stand in long queues at metro stations.
Users can simply add balance, tap the card at the terminal, and go. It sounds simple, right? The NCMC Bharat Yatra Card also eliminates the need to carry separate cards for different cities or transport systems. Blinkit is making the card more accessible by delivering it directly to users’ homes.
