Valentine’s Day is closer than you think. While everyone is shopping for chocolates and gifts for their loved ones, singles are either happily chilling or quietly moping. Recently, Blinkit, the Zomato-owned e-commerce app, has launched a new feature called ‘Single Mode’. This feature is specially designed for singles looking to shop for themselves. Naturally, many singles online reacted by saying, “Jale pe namak chhidak rahe hain.”
Blinkit Introduces ‘Single Mode’ Ahead Of Valentine’s Day 2026
As Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, Blinkit has rolled out something that has made singles feel a little left out. But honestly, the feature is quite interesting. Users who do not have a partner to celebrate this year can switch to Single Mode and see products curated just for them.
Normally, when you open the app, you see Valentine’s Day products like chocolates, teddy bears, rings and more. But when you switch to Single Mode, you get sections like ‘party with friends’, ‘binge and chill’, and ‘self-care products’. Netizens quickly took to social media to share their reactions. One Instagram user, @iamthesimwal, sarcastically asked, “What is this behaviour, Blinkit? Yeh galat hai.” And honestly, we could not stop laughing.
Instagram user, @i.varunarora, sarcastically wrote, ” Blinkit hmari firki le rha hai 🥲 ye wrong number hai.”

Netizens React To The New Feature
Not just one, but many users reacted online. While some felt Blinkit was “playing with their emotions” and wrote comments like “Jale pe namak chhidak rahe hain,” others actually loved the idea. One user on X, @bhakti__s, wrote, “Thank god blinkit has a single mode.” Another commented, “Blinkit really woke up and chose violence for singles.”
One X user, @codewiddan, appreciated the feature and wrote, “A Singles’ mode and a Valentine’s mode, and the transition between them is butter smooth.”
Rahul K, another X user, wrote, “Thank you @letsblinkit for introducing Single Mode and saving us from the nonsense.”
