The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) often steps in to save lives, and their efforts never go unnoticed. But their duty is not limited to people alone. Recently, CISF showed compassion beyond their responsibilities by rescuing a vulnerable deer despite cold conditions in Odisha. Here’s what happened.
CISF Personnel Rescue Deer At Paradip Port
Rescuing humans and animals in distress is not uncommon for CISF. They often go beyond their security duties and take part in rescue and humanitarian efforts. Recently, CISF personnel rescued a deer that was found alone near the Marine Site Office at Paradip Port in Odisha. The rescue was shared on CISF’s official X account on December 23, 2025.
According to the post, CISF coordinated with the Marine Department to rescue the vulnerable deer despite the cold conditions. The authorities also shared photos of the rescue operation. From the images, it was clear that the deer trusted the personnel completely as they handled it with care, calmness, and patience. The deer must have been terrified. Thankfully, it is now safe.

Netizens Praise CISF For Compassionate Act
In the post, CISF wrote, “The prompt and coordinated efforts of the CISF Fire Wing and Marine Department ensured the animal’s safety, reflecting CISF’s commitment to compassion, teamwork and humane action—where every life matters.” This is not the first time CISF personnel have stepped in to rescue animals. They have carried out several animal rescue operations over the years.
Netizens were once again impressed by the gesture. One user wrote, “Great work, CISF,” while others thanked the personnel for rescuing the deer. Compassion for animals is something everyone should practice. Protecting the voiceless and those who cannot help themselves is always worth it. It may have been another rescue for the team, but for the deer, it was a second chance at life.
