Delhiites know that CR Park is the place to be for Durga Puja. The place offers the most “Kolkata-style” celebrations, with grand pandals, beautiful idols, Bengali food, and so much more. But now, to level up the whole experience, Delhi is planning heritage walks in CR Park for people to immerse themselves in the celebrations and Bengali culture. Here’s everything you need to know if you want to be a part of this guided walk.

Delhi Plans CR Park Durga Puja Heritage Walks

The Chittaranjan Park (CR Park) Durga Puja is a guided tour series organised by Delhi Tourism from October 11 to 19. According to Hindustan Times, these guided tours are an amazing opportunity to see the vibrant community life of CR Park and explore Bengali heritage, traditions, food, music, art, and so much more.

These walks will cover the history and evolution of CR Park, Kali Mandir Society, idol-making, and the craftsmanship associated with Kumartuli. This means that this year, instead of just visiting the Durga Puja pandals, visitors will get an opportunity to peek into what really happens behind the scenes during the celebrations. Moreover, they will also get to learn about traditional puja practices, bhog (prasad) preparation and eco-friendly visarjan activities.
