Traffic Diversions At Madhuban Chowk In Delhi For 90 Days
In a recent advisory issued by Delhi Traffic Police, commuters have been warned of significant diversions at Madhuban Chowk. Due to the ongoing DMRC construction work, traffic movement at this intersection will remain affected for 90 days. The DMRC is constructing a new foot overbridge, which will connect Pitampura Metro Station to the under-construction Madhuban Chowk Metro Station.
Commuters have been advised to opt for alternative routes to avoid inconvenience. As per a report by India Today, the construction of this new foot overbridge is likely to enhance the connectivity between these two metro stations (Pitampura and Madhuban Chowk). However, the scale of the work is quite large, and as a result, certain lanes will be closed or diverted for the time being.
Diversions and alternative routes:
- From Wazirpur to Mangolpuri, Vikas Puri or Janakpuri: Commuters have been advised to take the Britannia route to Punjabi Bagh, then turn right towards Peeragarhi Chowk.
- From Rohini to West Delhi: Commuters have been advised to move via Sai Baba Chowk, take a right towards M2K Rohini and then turn left onto ORR. From there, commuters can take a U-turn near Rani Bagh Police Station before heading towards Peeragarhi Chowk.
