This surprising truth came from Instagram creator Tapesh Kumar, who recently posted a reel that no one saw coming. In the video, he revealed that one economy-class seat actually costs around ₹5 lakh. Yes, the same seat where you spend half the flight adjusting yourself to survive bears a massive price tag.
And if that wasn’t shocking enough, add a charging port and a screen, and the price shoots up to almost ₹10 lakh per seat. Even the installation of the seat costs another ₹1 lakh. Tapesh added that the famous Recaro seats usually fall in the ₹4–6 lakh range.
How can a seat that feels so stiff, so tiny, and so inconvenient cost more than a premium bike? Well, that’s exactly what baffled the netizens!
