A horrifying video of a tiger attack on a guard has been making the rounds on social media, shocking people and making them worry about their safety. This video clearly shows a tiger suddenly running towards a man sitting casually outside a building. This extremely real-looking video was believed to be CCTV footage taken from the Brahmpuri Forest Guest House. The tiger drags the man away, and the whole scene looks terrifying and unbelievably real. It looked terrifying, convincing, and so real that millions thought it was genuine. But was it? Let’s find out.
The Truth Behind The Terrifying Tiger Attack Video
The video, which went viral on social media and WhatsApp, was purportedly from the Brahmpuri Forest Guest House. It depicts a security guard sitting peacefully in a chair outside, when all of a sudden a tiger charges at him and drags him off. At first glance, the chaotic scene resembles actual CCTV footage from a forest. The video went viral in a matter of hours, provoking fear and sympathy on the internet.
But here’s the twist: the video wasn’t real at all. It was AI-generated. The truth came to light when retired IFS officer Sushanta Nanda shared the same video on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “This is an AI-generated video. Tigers don’t hunt humans; they hunt only to satisfy their hunger. Please don’t be misled by such videos.”
His clarification immediately got people talking and spotting all kinds of details that didn’t make sense. While some realised the man’s reaction didn’t feel natural, others noticed that the chair the guard was sitting on mysteriously changed during the video.

Netizens Loom Over The Consequences Of Deepfakes
Once people realised it was fake, the comment section quickly turned into a discussion on the growing dangers of AI deepfakes. One user wrote, “What’s more dangerous than the tiger is the irrational fear being created using AI against the animal for entertainment.” Others pointed out that such fake videos could create panic among people living near forest areas and give wildlife a bad image.
This incident is simply one of the many reminders of the terrifying things AI is capable of making us all believe. It has the potential to spread like wildfire, inducing fear and having real consequences, such as hampering wildlife conservation efforts.
