India Announces Free 30-Day E-Visa For Russians
Russian President Vladimir Putin is currently in New Delhi for his two-day visit. He and our Prime Minister Narendra Modi held summit talks to boost trade and deepen ties between both nations. According to a report by India TV News, on Friday, PM Modi announced that a 30-day e-tourist visa and group tourist visa service will be launched soon for Russian citizens. These e-visas will be processed within 30 days and will be free of cost.
The announcement came after a bilateral meeting with the Russian President. This is great news for tourists from Russia as the free e-visa eliminates standard visa fees with a faster turnaround time. Russian visitors will be able to stay in India for up to 30 days. This initiative also aims to boost India’s tourism sector by increasing the inflow of Russians in the country.
