Andaman & Nicobar Set Guinness World Record
As per a report by NDTV, the massive Tricolour, measuring approximately 60 by 40 metres, was located beneath the sea in a difficult and tightly coordinated operation involving multiple agencies and trained divers at Swaraj Dweep (Havelock Island).
The officials told the portal that Chief Secretary Chandra Bhushan Kumar, Lieutenant Governor D K Joshi, and Director General of Police H.S. Dhaliwal, along with other officials, were present to witness the event. Additionally, personnel from the Andaman and Nicobar Police, Forest Department, Indian Navy, and Indian Coast Guard, along with scuba divers, collaborated to conduct the tricolour underwater unfurling.
The youngest participants among more than 200 divers were the three school children, Fateh Jahaan Singh (16), Lavanya Eira (15), and Ranvijay Singh (14). On Saturday, around 10:35 am, an adjudicator from Guinness World Records, Rishi Nath, formally confirmed the achievement and presented the certificate to D K Joshi.

The Massive Tricolour Underneath At Radhanagar Beach
As per reports, D.K. Joshi addressed the gathering and praised the teams who participated for their coordination and commitment, calling the feat an important addition to the islands’ record of unique accomplishments. The achievement showcases the growing status of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands as a destination for adventure tourism, marine activities, and globally famous events.
Fateh, a Class-12 student of the Shri Ram School in Gurugram, told the portal how beautiful the marine world is and how he is so proud to have become a part of this event. He is a trained equestrian and has participated in many international events.

Additionally, on Sunday, the administration also set another Guinness World Record on Sunday, the ‘Tallest Human Stack’, at the Lighthouse dive site on Swaraj Dweep, with the Lt Governor and senior officials expected to attend.
