Actor and performer Nora Fatehi was involved in a car accident in Mumbai on Saturday afternoon after a drunk driver crashed into her vehicle, leaving her shaken, injured, and traumatised. While the incident could have ended far worse, Nora confirmed that she is safe and recovering, and in a move that stunned fans, she still went ahead and performed at the Sunburn Festival the same evening.
Nora Fatehi Injured After Drunk Driver Rams Into Her Car
According to NDTV reports, Mumbai Police shared that the accident occurred around 4 pm when an intoxicated driver rammed his car into Nora Fatehi’s vehicle as she was on her way to the festival venue. The impact was severe enough for immediate medical attention to be required.
The driver has been taken into custody, and a case has been registered against him under sections related to rash driving and driving under the influence, NDTV reported. A few hours after the incident, Nora took to Instagram Stories to address her fans directly about what she described as one of the most terrifying moments of her life.
She revealed that the force of the collision flung her across the car, causing her to hit her head against the window. Nora shared that she is currently dealing with pain, swelling, and a slight concussion but reassured everyone that she is alive and stable. “I’m grateful to be alive. That could have ended terribly,” she said.
Nora Fatehi did not shy away from admitting the emotional toll of the accident and expressed disbelief that such an incident could happen in broad daylight, around 3–4 pm, calling it deeply disturbing.

She Urges The Public Not To Drink And Drive
Despite the pain and shock, Nora made the bold decision to step on stage alongside DJ David Guetta just hours after the accident. While she acknowledged that her decision might seem extreme to some, she made it clear that the moment meant a lot to her professionally.
Most importantly, Nora strongly advised against driving after drinking. She spoke firmly about her personal stance on alcohol and substance use. “I have never liked alcohol, drugs, weedm anything that alters your state of mind or alertness. It’s not something I promote or enjoy being around,” she said. Nora also ended her message by thanking fans and well-wishers who checked in on her after the news broke.
Even though Nora Fatehi only suffered minor injuries, the incident serves as a sobering reminder of how risky and careless drunk driving can be. As Nora herself repeated multiple times, “Don’t drink and drive. There is no excuse.”
