India is now bracing for its colder months. Delhi’s air is getting cooler, and the temperature is dropping in Mumbai, but unfortunately, the AQI level is not improving. Bengaluru has somewhat cleaner air and can expect pleasant weather today. Here are all the latest weather updates from across India.

India Weather Update: Winters Are Here, But Air Remains Toxic

Summers are over and monsoons are gone. Now, it’s time for India to prepare for the upcoming winter months. The cold air and breeze are being felt in major Indian cities. Delhi woke up to sunny skies and light winds today. But as per a report by The Times of India, the AQI is not getting better anytime soon. A severe reading of 380 showed concerning levels of pollutants in the air. A thick blanket of haze covered Delhi, with many areas falling under the ‘red zone’.

Coming to Mumbai, the city experienced a sudden drop in temperature on Monday. The wind felt cooler, and the skies were clear. But talking about the air quality, the AQI stayed in the ‘moderate’ category with a reading of 103. Yes, it might be better than Delhi, but it is still polluted. As per a report by Mid-Day, Pune also saw a dip in temperature with 55% humidity and no rain. The weather seems pleasant for Punekars too!

Pleasant Day In Bengaluru, Rain Expected In Chennai

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast partly cloudy skies for Bengaluru today. The AQI of Bengaluru remains in the ‘moderate’ to ‘poor’ category. However, it is much better compared to Delhi and Mumbai. As per a report by The Times of India, Bengalureans can expect a gentle breeze and a pleasant evening. It’s the perfect weather for some outdoor activities, right? According to a report by The South First, Hyderabad is expected to have a partly cloudy sky with haze. Chennai can expect a spell of rainfall with thunderstorms. So, please carry an umbrella with you if you plan to go out. However, the AQI remains in the ‘moderate’ category. 

As per a report by The Daily Jagran, the IMD has stated that hilly areas are likely to witness snowfall. Other northern states like Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar will face a cold wave in the coming days. Kerala and Gujarat might also see moderate rainfall over the next few days.

The weather in cities across India is getting cooler, with many recording pleasant winter breezes. However, pollution continues to be a major issue in some regions. The IMD hasn’t issued any weather warnings yet, but people are advised to be prepared for the upcoming colder months in India.
