The minister said that, as the airspace is closed, there is no reason for Indian carriers to operate in this area. Naidu asserted that the aviation ministry and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation are in constant touch with the regulators in those countries.
What Did The Aviation Minister Have To Say About It?
The minister stated that we have operated wherever there was a slot available for us to do so. He also revealed that almost 2,19,780 people had travelled during the crisis.
K. Rammohan Naidu also said that his department and the DGCA have ensured safe operations during the conflict in West Asia. Currently, some airspace remains closed, despite the authorities’ best efforts to make it accessible. But the airspace has to be open, and it has to be safe to travel. Only then can the authorities have regular travel in the region, the aviation minister concluded.
