Top Women-Friendly Cities In India 

A first-of-its-kind report, the Avtar Top Cities for Women in India 2025, evaluates cities based on their ability to empower a woman’s career, density of women-friendly organisations, and more. According to a report by The Indian Express, Bengaluru has retained the number 1 spot thanks to the many job opportunities it offers to women in India. The city is also known for being safe for women and for its ease of living. It scored a City Inclusion Score (CIS) of 53.2.

Aren’t you curious about the second or even the third place? Chennai is in second place with a CIS of 49.8, while cities like Pune (46.2), Hyderabad (46), and Mumbai (44.4) made it to the top five women-friendly cities in India. All these cities not just offer a supportive environment for women but also promise amazing career opportunities.

These Cities Also Made It To The Top 10 List

Cities like Gurugram (35.6), Kolkata (34.2), and Ahmedabad (33.8) also made it to the list. Finding Gurugram on the list was not surprising because of its improvements in industrial inclusion and more workplaces becoming women-friendly there. According to The Indian Express, cities like Delhi, Gurgaon, and Noida might be great for jobs, but they lag in safety, affordability, and mobility.
