IndiGo took to their official X account to make an important announcement. Following the major operational disruption, the airline is offering travel vouchers worth ₹10,000 to passengers stranded on December 3, 4, and 5. The vouchers can be used for any future IndiGo journey and will be valid for the next 12 months only.
This compensation is in addition to flight ticket refunds and the existing government-mandated compensation of ₹5,000 to ₹10,000. In their official statement today, IndiGo also confirmed that most refunds have already been processed, with the remaining ones to follow shortly.

Airline’s Winter Schedule Reduced By 10%
IndiGo also stated that, “Our foremost priority continues to be the care of our customers. At IndiGo, we are committed to restoring the experience you expect from us: safe, smooth, and reliable. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you again.” According to a report by NDTV, there have been no same-day cancellations by IndiGo in the past three days, except for unavoidable weather, technical, or operational issues.
The government has also reduced IndiGo’s winter schedule by 10%, citing poor preparation for implementing new flight safety norms. This lack of preparedness caused a massive crew shortage and left thousands of passengers stranded at airports. You would also like to know that to manage thousands of stranded passengers, Indian Railways had to step in. They helped in setting up help desks at multiple airports for train bookings. In addition, several special trains were announced to ease the trouble and ensure passengers reached their destinations smoothly.
