Good news for Delhi commuters! The National Highways Authority of India has finally approved a long-pending proposal to build a two-way flyover at Kalindi Kunj, near Delhi’s border with Noida. The project aims to make the stretch, which often sees heavy traffic, signal-free. Here’s what you need to know about this.
Two-Way Flyover Coming Soon In Kalindi Kunj
According to a report by Hindustan Times, the approval came after a meeting between officials from Delhi Traffic Police, Noida Traffic Police, and NHAI. The project includes the construction of two loop flyovers at the Kalindi Kunj junction. These loops will allow vehicles to bypass traffic signals completely, which will help ease congestion on this stretch.
One flyover will help commuters travelling from Noida towards Faridabad and the Mumbai Expressway. The other will connect traffic coming from Faridabad and the expressway directly towards Noida via Okhla Barrage Road. This will make the junction completely signal-free for commuters.
