Double-Decker Bus Gets Into Accident In Delhi’s Karol Bagh
According to Hindustan Times, the double-decker sleeper bus was on its way from Rajasthan’s Jaipur with around 25 passengers on board. The bus reportedly lost control and overturned near Jhandewalan Temple in central Delhi’s Karol Bagh in the early hours of March 25, 2026 (Wednesday). Unfortunately, two people lost their lives, and 23 people were injured.
Authorities were informed about the accident at around 1:08 am, after which rescue operations began. Multiple teams rushed to the spot and pulled injured passengers out of the overturned vehicle. Officials shifted the injured to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital for treatment.

Probe Initiated To Determine Exact Cause
According to Hindustan Times, a preliminary investigation suggests that the driver may have lost control of the double-decker bus due to overspeeding. However, the exact cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained. A probe has been initiated to determine the sequence of events leading to the incident. Images and videos circulating on social media show the damaged bus, broken glass, and shattered seats.
The accident comes just weeks after a tragic crash on the Yamuna Expressway in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras, where a double-decker bus rammed into a moving van, killing at least six people. The bus was reportedly travelling from Delhi to Gorakhpur.
