The video features her with three different cold drinks: Fanta, Coca-Cola, and Red Bull. She tried to wipe out the expiry date stamp from the bottle of coke using sanitiser, and it quickly went away. Further, she also tried doing the same with Fanta and Red Bull, and the date completely vanished. She also showed how she added a new date just on top of it. She also pointed out a few better ways to check whether the drink is expired or not. She wrote,
1. “Better Ink: Brands MUST use tamper-proof, permanent ink that can’t be easily removed.
2. Strict Laws: We need the government to step in with stricter regulations to prevent this kind of manipulation.
3. QR Codes: Every product should have a unique QR code that links directly to its manufacturing and expiry data in a secure database. A quick scan should be all it takes to verify what we’re buying!”
Social Media Reacts To The Post
The video went viral and quickly garnered attention across India after its posting. One user wrote, “Unfortunately there is no ink which cannot be erased by some or other chemical.”
