Listening to the word ‘cheesecake’ instantly brings to mind that decadent dessert made of soft cream cheese, eggs, sugar, and a crunchy biscuit base. But a woman in Mirzapur recently received a cheesecake version that was far from what we imagine a cheesecake should be. She apparently received a standard cake topped with processed cheese slices! Here’s more on this bizarre incident.
Mirzapur Woman Receives Cheesecake With Cheese Slices On Top
A Mirzapur woman, Pragya, on Instagram (@mishpragya), shared the incident she experienced before Mother’s Day this year. Like many of us, she decided to surprise her mom by ordering a fancy cheesecake from a local bakery. She waited eagerly, hoping for that creamy cake that would make her mother happy and wanted her to taste it for the first time. But when Pragya finally opened the box, not only was the cake completely smashed, but she also discovered something far more bizarre.
The bakery had sent a normal cake with pieces of processed cheese slices on top. Yes, you read that right! Apparently, the bakery considered putting processed cheese on a cake as their version of a cheesecake. The woman said, “It blew my mind.” She added that it was clearly a loophole and sarcastically joked that it was a great startup idea, selling a normal cake with cheese slices for ₹800 as a cheesecake!
Pragya’s Instagram video with the caption, “Now I know why people are afraid of Mirzapur. Posting a bit too late, but just be aware of these entrepreneurs,” is now going viral on social media. She also added, “Mirzapur is not for beginners.”
Netizens Find It Hilarious
Traditional cheesecake is made from cream cheese, mascarpone, or ricotta, along with eggs and sugar; it does not include processed cheese slices or cubes. Just like her, many netizens were surprised and found the situation hilarious. One Instagram user commented, “Lemon cheesecake mangati toh nimbu nichod ke bhej dete.” (If she had ordered a Lemon cheesecake, they would have probably sent a cake with squeezed lemon on top.) While another wrote, “Try ordering Kadhai Paneer, maybe they’ll deliver raw paneer in kadhai.” These comments truly made us laugh out loud.
Others added sarcastic comments like, “Mirzapur logic is 1+1 is 11,” and “Technically, it’s a cheesecake.” No doubt, the incident was funny, and the comments made it even more entertaining. We hope Pragya eventually managed to get a proper cheesecake for her mom from another bakery!
