This Mumbai Airport Installation Plays Music With Water
At Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport Terminal 2, near Gate 86 in the domestic area, there is a fancy water installation. But it is not your normal water installation where water simply flows. It is an interactive piece which also plays music!
According to the Instagram video shared by Manav Chhabra (@mr.mnv) on Instagram it is a Jaltarang. Once you place your hand under its flowing streams of water, it plays music. Actually, placing your hand under the streams triggers musical notes from traditional Indian ragas and subtly pays homage to Mumbai’s history. What’s surprising is that not many people knew about this and often passed the installation, thinking it was just a normal fancy thing!
