Maharashtra Set To Host 1st Formula Night Street Race
According to The Economic Times, as part of the IRF grand finale in December, Navi Mumbai will host Maharashtra’s first-ever Formula night street race. On Saturday, the Racing Promotions Pvt. Ltd. (RPPL) signed an MoU with the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The Indian F4 Championship’s official X (formerly Twitter) account shared the news with a post. It said, “The iconic finale of the Indian Racing Festival is proposed to be held in December 2025. Mumbai will host its first-ever Street Racing Circuit.”

Mumbai is all set to get its first-ever FIA-grade street racing circuit, putting the city on the global motorsport map. The 3.753 km track, featuring 14 turns, will begin at Palm Beach Road and run along Nerul Lake, providing a scenic backdrop for the nighttime race. Fans will now enjoy a high-octane night-time double-header weekend featuring the Indian Racing League (IRL) and the FIA-certified Formula 4 Indian Championship (F4IC). As per media reports, the IRL is India’s only 4-wheel racing league and the world’s first gender-neutral racing championship series. It features six city-based teams competing in a dynamic franchise-based competition, and something no motorsport enthusiast can miss out on.
