Dunkin’ Donuts To Exit India

As per a report by Moneycontrol, the Multiple Unit Development Franchise Agreement (MUDFA), which was signed back on February 24, 2011, between Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd and Dunkin’, is all set to expire on December 31, 2026. The company’s board has now decided on the non-renewal of development rights granted under the agreement upon completion of the current term.

JFL revealed in the filing that the board has decided on the non-renewal of the development rights granted in MUDFA upon expiry of its current development term. The company also informed that it will undertake actions in a phased manner regarding its existing Dunkin‘ operations. These may include the rationalisation of certain stores, the sale and transfer of assets, and the assignment of franchise rights in consultation with the Dunkin’ brand owners. JFL also stated that it will take these steps in compliance with the terms of the agreement, regulatory requirements, and applicable laws.
