The New Delhi Marathon 2026 is all set to take place on February 22, 2026. It will feature over 30,000 participants, starting and finishing at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. To facilitate a smoother commute for the participants, Delhi Metro has now made an important announcement on its official X account.
The services on February 22 will begin early from the terminal stations at 3:30 am and continue to operate till 6 am at 30-minute intervals. This will then be followed by the regular Sunday timetable. However, these timing changes will apply only on select metro lines, which are:
- Yellow Line: Samaypur Badli-Millennium City Centre Gurugram
- Blue Line: Dwarka Sector 21-Noida Electronic City / Vaishali
- Violet Line: Kashmere Gate-Raja Nahar Singh

Other Metro Lines To Operate As Per Sunday Schedule
DMRC has made these special arrangements for the New Delhi Marathon so that runners can reach their destination without any hassles. According to the X post, metro services on all the other lines will operate as per the regular Sunday timetable. Delhi Metro passengers are advised to plan their journey accordingly and take advantage of the early services.
According to Republic World, the New Delhi Marathon is an annual running event. It is also known as the National Championship presented by NEB Sports. This is a major event, and every year it records some fantastic running performances. Some runners even qualify to represent the country at a global level!
