An Indian woman clad in a colourful Rajasthani saree has won the hearts of people in Russia. A video shared by her son has gone viral, showing locals approaching her for selfies and showering her with compliments. And naturally, netizens can’t get enough of it!
Indian Woman In Rajasthani Saree Wins Hearts In Russia
Imagine going to Russia for a holiday and coming back home feeling like a celebrity. This is what happened with an Indian woman in Russia. Leaving all the western clothing aside, she wore a vibrant Rajasthani saree to visit tourist spots in the country. Accompanied by her son and husband, she was out and about when locals started approaching her for selfies. Her saree instantly drew attention on the streets, because unlike jeans and dresses, this outfit was truly unique for people in Russia.
Her son, Shubham Gautam, couldn’t help himself and recorded a clip of his mum. He uploaded the video on his Instagram and wrote, “She is not just my mom; she is Russia’s favourite celebrity.” In the clip, we can see people rushing to her for selfies while her son records and her husband stands by watching his wife in awe.

Netizens React To The Heartwarming Video
Shubham also cheekily tells his followers that if you ever visit abroad, make sure you wear your Indian clothes. No one would be interested in jeans and tops more than they would be in sarees, and this video is proof. He even asks his mum how she is feeling, and she replies, “Acha lag raha hai” (I am feeling good). The saree is honestly so beautiful that we are not surprised people there were stunned.
The video, which has garnered over 2.8 million views, is winning hearts online. One user wrote, “Aww, this is such a sweet video.” Another commented, “I am glad Maa Ji was faithful to her culture and showed that grace. Cultural differences are so beautiful, we should embrace that with respect.” Someone also said, “Best moment, she looks adorable,” while another added, “proud to be a Rajasthani.”
The video is truly heartwarming, right?
