Four New Vande Bharat Trains Launched By PM Modi In Varanasi

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off four brand-new Vande Bharat Express trains. The event was also attended by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and several senior officials from the Railway Board, highlighting the government’s focus on modernising India’s rail network.

These four brand-new trains will link significant Indian cities:

  • From Varanasi to Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh
  • From Lucknow to Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh
  • From Firozpur in Punjab to Delhi
  • From Ernakulam in Kerala to Bengaluru in Karnataka

The primary goals of these trains are to decrease travel time, improve comfort, and also increase connectivity. The significantly lowered travel time will not only suit regular travellers but will also help boost tourism in various Indian cities while also supporting local economies.

Making Travel Across India Faster Than Ever

The Varanasi–Khajuraho Vande Bharat will save travellers about two hours and forty-five minutes. This train connects some of the most important religious and cultural sites in India, including Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Khajuraho. According to Hindustan Times, the Lucknow–Saharanpur Vande Bharat will take approximately 7 hours and 45 minutes to complete the journey. Passengers travelling from Lucknow, Sitapur, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Bijnor, Saharanpur, and even Haridwar will benefit from this train.

The Firozpur–Delhi Vande Bharat is expected to be the fastest train on this route, taking just 6 hours and 40 minutes to complete the trip. The connections between Delhi and major cities in Punjab, like Patiala, Bathinda, and Firozpur, will certainly be improved by this train. Down by 2 hours, thanks to the launch of the Ernakulam–Bengaluru Vande Bharat, travellers in southern India will also be able to complete their trip in 8 hours and 40 minutes, Hindustan Times reported.

With these four new trains adding to the Vande Bharat Express network in India, travellers are all set for a fast and comfortable exploration of India.
