India is now gearing up for the festive season in 2026, starting with the much-awaited celebration of Raksha Bandhan. This year, Instamart is seeing a sharp shift towards premium, jewellery-inspired Rakhis, with consumers moving beyond traditional threads. Here’s what the recent trend says.

E-commerce platforms like Instamart can be very helpful for shopping for those last-minute needs, especially during festivals. For Raksha Bandhan 2026, many sisters are now going beyond the traditional thread and buying premium, jewellery-inspired Rakhis from Instamart. According to the latest trends, premium Rakhis on the platform have surged 20X compared to last year, with strong demand for silver designs.

Not just that, people have been looking to buy Rakhis from jewellery brands like Kalyan Jewellers, Palmonas and GIVA. Along with Rakhis, the overall gifting segment for Raksha Bandhan is expected to grow around 3X this year as more and more consumers look for gifts that combine utility, personalisation and indulgence.

Silver Rakhis Are In Demand This Raksha Bandhan

Now, let’s talk about what kind of Rakhis people are preferring this year. According to an Instamart report, demand is showing up for Kalyan Jewellers’ 925 Tripundra Trishul Rakhi and 925 Ganesh Rakhi. Both are made with 1g of silver. Apart from these, Palmonas’ waterproof, anti-tarnish Divine Lotus, Divine Om and Circle of Love Rakhis are also in great demand.

To meet this growing demand, Instamart has curated a wider premium edit spanning Swarovski, GIVA, Nestasia, Kalyan Jewellers and more brands for consumers to choose from. Cities like Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar and Chandigarh are among the fastest-growing markets for premium rakhis.

Beyond rakhis, gifts like soft toys, men’s bracelets, women’s pendants, chocolates, men’s wallets, handbags and perfume sets are also seeing huge demand this Raksha Bandhan 2026.
