Rajasthan Tiger Reserve Welcomes 3 Tiger Cubs
Tigress T-2307 of the Rajasthan Tiger Reserve in Rajasthan is now a mother to three cubs. The State Forest Minister, Sanjay Sharma, shared the news with his followers on Monday. He wrote, “Exciting news from #RanthamboreNationalPark T-2307 has been sighted with three cubs in the Berda area of the Kundera Range.” He also congratulated the people of the state with his “heartiest wishes.” In the photo shared on X, you can see the three tiger cubs walking alongside their mother in the wild.
DCF Manas Singh shared with The Indian Express that they were not aware of the new cubs in the forest before. Authorities came to know about them after the images were captured on camera. Ranthambore Tiger Reserve now has around 19 cubs in total. You would also like to know that Tigress T-2307 has become a mother for the first time, which may be why she was protecting her babies, and the officials were not aware of their presence earlier.
Forest Team Steps Up Monitoring To Protect The New Family
According to a report by The Indian Express, the cubs are estimated to be between two and a half to three months old. Forest officials are keeping a close eye on them for their protection. Tigress T-2307 is a four-year-old big cat who stays active in the non-tourist areas of the Kundera range.
She is the offspring of Tiger T-121 and Tigress T-111 and is currently active in the areas of Bawdi Tiraha, Bairda, and Lahapur Cell. The Forest Department has stepped up monitoring in sensitive zones so the new family can stay safe.
