Lawson To Launch In India
After seeing high growth chances in the world’s most populous country. The Japanese convenience store chain Lawson is all set to launch in India, with its first store scheduled to open in Mumbai in 2027. According to The Asahi Shimbun, the company plans to expand to 100 outlets in India by 2030.

What Is Lawson Known For?
Founded in 1939 in the United States as a dairy store brand and later established in Japan in 1975, Lawson is known for its ready-to-eat meals, onigiri, bentos, karaage chicken, desserts, coffee machines, ticketing services, and even bill payments. Lawson also runs premium sub-brands like ‘Natural Lawson’, which focuses on health-conscious food.
