Shooting At Seattle Food Festival
As per a report by India Today, the shooting took place around 6 pm near the Seattle Centre in downtown Seattle, prompting a massive emergency response. Police urged people to avoid the area as officers launched an investigation into the incident.
Local outlets, including The Seattle Times and KOMO News, reported that two people died and five others were wounded, citing the Seattle Fire Department.
Witnesses told local media they heard multiple gunshots before crowds began running in panic. Videos circulating on social media showed people fleeing the venue as first responders rushed to assist victims.
A local hospital confirmed it admitted four patients, including a two-year-old child, a man, and two women. One of them remains in critical condition, according to an official quoted by the Associated Press.

Authorities evacuated the area soon after the shooting, with police and emergency personnel arriving at the scene within minutes.
Festival Attendees Reveal Their Experiences
Brunda Sreedhar, who had attended the food festival, stated to Curly Tales, “Never ran faster than this in my life. There were shots being fired a few feet away from where we stood. We are fine now.”
Festival attendee Estan Wakonabo told the local news portal that he and his girlfriend were waiting in line for a photo booth when people suddenly began pushing past them. After escorting his girlfriend to safety, Wakonabo returned to the scene and said he saw several people lying on the ground.
First held in 1982, the Bite of Seattle is one of the city’s largest food festivals, attracting nearly 350,000 visitors over three days, according to its official website.
