Star Air Adds 70 Weekly Flights, Introduces Mundra As 32nd Destination

Star Air is growing, and how! Owned by the Sanjay Ghodawat Group, Star Air has announced a sweeping expansion from Mundra, one of the famous port cities of Gujarat. The airline will operate 38 direct weekly flights from 25th April 2026. Read on to know more about the development.

Star Air Launches Flights From Mundra

Starting 25th April 2026, Star Air will operate 38 direct weekly flights and a total of 54 weekly connections, linking Mundra to six key cities across Western and Northern India. With over 17,000 additional seats now available each month, this new move stands among the largest boosts to air connectivity and economic growth in the region.

Mundra’s flight expansion directly connects to Mumbai, Delhi, Goa, and Surat, providing easy access and convenience for both business and leisure travellers. In addition to the 38 direct weekly flights, Star Air will introduce 16 weekly one-stop connections, strengthening ties with cities like Kolhapur and Bhuj and further supporting the region’s workforce.

With an additional 4,104 seats available weekly and 17,000 seats monthly, Star Air’s expansion is set to drive new growth in business, trade, and tourism throughout Gujarat and beyond. Passengers flying from Mundra will enjoy Star Air’s signature hospitality, including hot meals and beverages on every flight, and the comfort of the Embraer E175 fleet featuring both business and economy cabins.

Situated in the Kutch district of Gujarat, Mundra has evolved into an important city for India’s trade and industrial network. As home to the country’s largest commercial port, Mundra is the entry and exit point for a significant portion of India’s international cargo. Until now, the absence of direct air links has raised many challenges for time-sensitive cargo and investors.
