We have fantastic news for tourists! IndiGo, India’s largest airline, has announced that it will begin operating direct daily flights between Mumbai and London Heathrow Airport on October 26. With the launch of this new service, getting between the two cities will be easier, faster, and more convenient than before.
IndiGo To Start Daily Direct Flights Between Mumbai And London
IndiGo Airlines has planned to launch direct service from Mumbai to London Heathrow later this month. Planning to travel between these two important cities? You don’t have to worry about long layovers or connecting flights anymore. Leased from Norse Atlantic Airways, the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft will be used to operate the flights. Passengers will have the choice of economy class seats or IndiGoStretch seats for extra comfort, making long-haul travel a little more relaxing.
With this launch, London Heathrow becomes IndiGo’s 45th international destination and the 138th destination overall in its rapidly expanding network, NDTV reported. This comes after IndiGo began flights from Mumbai to Manchester in July, and it will soon start flights to Copenhagen on October 8. Amsterdam is another recent addition, showing how the airline is steadily expanding its global reach.

The Airline Strengthens India-UK Connectivity
According to IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers, the India-UK corridor has always been important. The route is popular not just because of business and leisure travel but also due to the large number of students and people visiting friends and relatives. According to him, this route is crucial because of the India-UK connection and the increasing volume of traffic between the two nations, NDTV reported.
IndiGo has been aggressively expanding internationally. The airline has launched nearly 40 new international destinations since 2015, including nearly 20 in the last three years. With 2,200 daily flights and a fleet of over 400 aircraft, the airline is among the busiest in India and among the fastest-growing globally, according to NDTV reports.
Now, with the launch of this new route between Mumbai and London, travellers will have more options, more convenience, and the opportunity to travel straight to London without any stops. Whether you’re travelling for work or pleasure, these direct flights ensure convenience, speed, and comfort.
As IndiGo’s global network continues to expand, now is a great time to book your next trip to the UK.
