Taking to Instagram, Dhruvee Patel alleged that 56 Indian travellers were treated in the “most inhumane” way by authorities at Georgia’s border. In her post, Dhruvee Patel wrote, “We were forced to sit on the footpath like cattle.” She further added that they had to endure freezing cold conditions with no food or washrooms. India must take a strong stand.”

The viral post garnered many reactions from fellow Instagram users. Many of them wrote that Indians were consistently being treated poorly in Georgia. Another User wrote, “When this behaviour has been consistent from Georgia, then why do Indians keep going there?”

Some, however, shared differing views and pointed out that not all travellers face such situations, writing, “We (basically from Kerala) have been to Georgia from the UAE and it was an amazing experience. didn’t have any issues or delay at the airport.”
