Vande Bharat trains are known for their high speed, premium service, and timely meals. However, a video has now gone viral showing passengers getting agitated over delayed meals on board a Vande Bharat train. The situation escalated further when passengers discovered plates of food stacked inside the train. Here’s what actually happened.
Passengers Question Meal Delay Inside Vande Bharat Train
A video circulating online shows Vande Bharat passengers stranded inside the train without food or snacks. The clip, shared on X by @aguneesh, shows angry passengers demanding answers not only for the train delay but also for the absence of meals for 12 hours. Passengers pointed out that the coaches had children, elderly passengers, and women on board. Many questioned why food had not been served despite meals being included in the ticket price.
What triggered further anger was the ‘not-so-helpful’ behaviour of the railway support staff inside the train. One woman can be heard saying that meals included in her ticket should have been served on time. Another passenger said, “Yaha par senior citizens hai, bache hai, khaane ka ek katra nahi hai iss train mein. Aap hume bhooke pyaase le jaoge?” (There are senior citizens and children on the train, and there is no food. Are you going to keep us hungry and thirsty?”
He also added, “Iss se achi toh purani train thi.” (Even the old trains were better than this.) One woman also mentioned that passengers were frustrated as the train kept stopping repeatedly at random locations.
Ready-To-Eat Food Found Inside The Train
The chaos did not end there. Passengers later found food stacked on board the train. They complained that the catering staff failed to distribute meals on time despite food being available. Several ready-to-eat meal boxes were also seen placed on shelves. The passengers were later seen distributing the food among themselves.
The incident sparked strong reactions online as well. Netizens expressed anger over the situation. While many agreed that the delay in serving food was unacceptable, some also felt that shouting at railway staff was not the right thing. According to a report by The Free Press Journal, dense fog conditions in the northern parts of India have significantly disrupted train operations. This has led to delays even for premium trains like Vande Bharat.
