Many hilly states in India are currently seeing snowfall, turning entire regions into winter wonderlands. Snowfall In Pangi Chamba, Himachal Pradesh

An X user, Nikhil Saini (@iNikhilsaini), recently shared a video from Pangi Chamba. For those who don’t know, this is a remote, high-altitude tehsil in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. The valley is isolated and sandwiched between two mountain ranges: the Zanskar Range and the Pir Panjal Range.

The video shows large amounts of snow flowing through a stream. The visuals look stunning, almost like water cascading through a waterfall. The user captioned the post, “Finally, a good amount of snow in the Himalayas. After yesterday’s snowfall, almost all areas are snow-covered now. You have seen water flowing; check snow flowing through the stream.”

Why Snow Sometimes Flows Like Waterfalls

Snow flowing like a waterfall is not uncommon. Strong winds can dislodge snow from ridges, creating a waterfall-like effect. Large amounts of snow can also cascade down a mountain, forming a ‘white waterfall.’ Many netizens were equally stunned by the beauty of the scene. It seems like nature has its own way to impress us.

One X user wrote, “water streaming! nopeee it’s the SNOW STREAMING,” while another commented, “Wow! Snow flowing through a stream — pure Himalaya magic.” Many others simply called the scene “Beautiful.”

The snowfall across Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Kashmir looks undoubtedly beautiful. But it has also impacted daily life, with roads being blocked, transport delayed, and services disrupted. Locals are facing many challenges due to heavy snow.
