Noida Airport Turned Into A ‘Seaport’ Due To Heavy Rainfall

A video posted by Mumbai Nowcast (@s_r_khandelwal) on X shows heavy waterlogging inside the Noida Airport. Despite the waterlogging, airport operations continued normally, with no delays to flights. Airport teams set up pumps to clear the affected area, and authorities said the water was removed within 30 minutes.

The affected area is an underground passage linking the terminal with the parking and taxi facilities. The passage, which has been made to resemble the ghats of Varanasi, is situated below the departure kerbside road and is used by passengers travelling between the terminal and parking areas.

Following the water accumulation, the escalator in the passage was temporarily shut. Passenger movement was also diverted through an alternative route, while travellers could be picked up directly from the kerbside.
