On Tuesday, Mumbai Metro One Private Limited launched a new mobile application, RapidCash, for turning everyday online shopping into savings on metro travel. Sounds exciting, right? Read on to find out all about the new launch.
Mumbai Metro Line One Launches RapidCash
As per a report by Midday, the RapidCash app allows commuters on Mumbai Metro Line-1 to earn instant cashback on purchases made through top e-commerce platforms. This will help offset their daily commuting expenses. The app aims to turn everyday shopping into savings on Metro travel in Mumbai. Promoted by Reliance Infrastructure, Mumbai Metro One said the initiative is part of its continuous efforts toward easy commutes for travellers and commuter-centric innovation.
Developed in collaboration with Acetech Digital and SequelString AI Private Limited, the app allows users to earn up to ₹20 cashback per transaction on top e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Myntra, Flipkart, and Ajio. As per the news portal, the cashback is instantly credited and can be easily redeemed directly into users’ bank accounts, providing a seamless and user-friendly experience.

A spokesperson for Mumbai Metro spoke to the news portal and described the RapidCash app as a first-of-its-kind innovation in the metro industry, especially designed to provide multiple benefits to passengers. The app allows users to continue shopping on their preferred platforms while earning additional cashback, making daily spending more rewarding and metro travel more affordable.
Mumbai Metro One has served over 120 crore daily commuters in 12 years of operation. The Metro has maintained more than 99% punctuality and introduced many innovations in the metro sector, such as WhatsApp ticketing, Metro Rewards, QR tickets, and unlimited travel passes.
For those unaware, Mumbai Metro Line 1 is an 11.40 km elevated corridor with 12 stations, connecting the Western and Eastern suburbs. The metro connects Versova to Ghatkopar, with key stations like Andheri, Chakala, Marol Naka, and others in between.
