Mumbai Metro Aqua Line Rolls Out Student & Tourist Passes
Starting April 8, commuters on the Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ Metro Line 3 (Aqua Line) can avail discounted fares. According to Mid-Day, this is a step towards MMRCL’s aim to make metro travel more affordable while encouraging the use of digital, contactless ticketing. The Aqua Line spans approximately 33.5 kilometres and has 27 stations.
The new discounted passes are available for students and tourists, and can be accessed exclusively through the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC). This move is part of a broader push toward a fully digital commuting system, allowing passengers to travel without paper tickets or tokens. These benefits are also integrated with MMRCL’s official app, MetroConnect3, which supports digital ticketing and pass management as well.
It is to be noted that existing discounts remain unchanged. Commuters can still avail a 10% discount on 45-trip passes and a 15% discount on 60-trip passes.
