“Why Do People Say That India Is Dirty?” New York Traveller Appreciates India’s Cleanliness

India is a country rich in culture and heritage, drawing large numbers of tourists from all across the world. Recently, one such tourist and a travel influencer from New York visited Kochi, Kerala, which left her all impressed. The vlogger shared the video on her social media, appreciating the cleanliness of India, which instantly became viral. Read on to know more about her experience.

New York Influencer Appreciates Cleanliness In India

Travel influencer Chloe Jade took to her Instagram account to share a review about her visit to Kochi in India. She further talked about common stereotypes about cleanliness in the country and stated that “India is NOT dirty”. In the video, we can see Chloe talking about the clean roads, hygienic food, and public transportation. She started the video, calling the country clean. She further highlighted the well-maintained sidewalks of the city. “Things are very clean, there’s no trash, and the sidewalk is literally spotless,” she added.

Kochi Metro Ferry, Hygiene & More

Next, she talked about the restaurant, food and how people are using gloves and maintaining proper hygiene to serve food. “As you can see, people are using gloves to touch food, and everything here is very clean. This is one of the random kitchens, and you can see that there’s no trash on the ground. Everything is done very carefully, and the food comes out very, very clean and very healthy,” she said in the video. 

She also talked about her experience of the metro ferry in Kochi. She appreciated the cleanliness on board and highlighted some of the key benefits of the metro and how it operates on renewable energy. She said, “It is completely electric, and when you see inside, you will be asking yourself, ‘ Why do people say that India is dirty?’  Take a look at this. People are all respecting each other’s space, it’s very clean in here, and even all of the waterways outside are completely clean.”

She further praised the passengers for how they maintained orderly behaviour and respected each other’s personal spaces. In the end, she also talked about Kochi City, where she is currently visiting, and described her experience, calling it a “traveller’s paradise.”
